Two places I call home – Cebu and Masbate – have been hit hard. Cebu by the recent earthquake, and Masbate still struggling to recover from the super typhoon Opong.
A dear friend of mine in Australia has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for those affected. I’ve joined her effort here on the ground – I’ll be receiving the funds, purchasing essentials (water, ready-to-eat food, hygiene kits), and delivering them to drop-off points and groups sending help to northern Cebu.
At the same time, I’ll also be accepting donations for Masbate, where many families are still rebuilding their lives.
There are already many incredible groups doing their part – but the need is still great. If you’ve been wondering how or where to send help, or if you simply want to do more, I’d be honored to be your bridge.
Any amount will do. Every gesture of care, brings hope to those who need it most. Together, let’s keep that hope alive.
