I’ve just read that today is WORLD RADIO DAY. So, let me flex my radio – my morning companion while I have my coffee. I bought this for Papa ten years ago when he was in the hospital for cancer treatment.
Listening to local news and music were some of the stuff I enjoyed with him. He used to begin his day by turning on his radio – usually around five in the morning. Everybody in the house – whether you like it or not – could hear whatever he was listening to. I got used to it.
I’m amazed that this cheap radio is still alive. It’s been a decade. A radio somehow makes me feel at home – just like the good, old days with Papa.

P. S. In Cebu City, I listen to DYSS Super Radyo GMA radio station.
